We had the pleasure of attending the Podim conference again this year! The event, located in Maribor, Slovenia, is renowned as one of Europe’s premier Tech & Startup Events. It brings together ambitious startups from the CEE region and connects them with highly motivated global and regional investors, corporations, and established businesses eager to forge partnerships with startups. Podim primarily focuses on deep-tech startups in the software or connected hardware sectors. We were honored to be selected as one of the 150 hand-picked startups to participate in this year’s event.
From May 16 to May 17, we had the opportunity to engage with influential startup and tech entrepreneurs from the CEE region. The conference provided an excellent platform for discussions, innovation insights, networking with like-minded individuals, and exploring new business opportunities, capital, and knowledge. We are incredibly grateful to have shared this experience with many friends and familiar faces from our hometown of Graz, Austria, who are also active in the startup community.
The conference featured captivating keynote speeches, a deal room where attendees could personally connect with business leaders of their choice and ask them questions one-on-one, insightful workshops, and, most importantly, numerous informal spaces for exchanging ideas and experiences.
What sets Podim apart is its dedication to showcasing the European startup ecosystem, with a particular emphasis on the Alps-Adriatic and Western Balkans regions. Despite the perception that not much is happening in these areas, we have discovered an exceptional funding system and opportunities to explore neighboring markets.
